Transforming Society Through Youth Empowerment
The social challenges to economic prosperity for young people today are many: limited professional networks, overcrowded and underfunded classrooms, geographic isolation, disconnected communities, and more. To boot, roughly 20% of the 50 million school-age kids nationwide lack a positive mentor while facing these generational barriers – exacerbating the educational, emotional, and economic opportunity gaps even further.
Yet, proven interventions and initiatives do exist to empower our youth and change that trajectory — which will not only impact young people themselves, but have a far-reaching cascade effect, increasing returns for the overall economy and fostering a more successful and inclusive society.
Hosted in partnership with the country’s leading youth mentoring organization, Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, this VIP Breakfast will bring together a leading group of Funders, Philanthropists, Impact Investors, Thought Leaders, and Practitioners as we discuss how to accelerate successful models, advance policy solutions, grow public engagement, and expand partnerships and collaborations that can enable this work – and 10 million of America’s youth — to flourish.
