Zero In on HPV: Unleashing the Full Potential of Vaccines & Early Detection
BCIU, in partnership with Merck & Co. and Becton, Dickinson and Company (BD), are pleased to host a high-level panel event on the margins of the 79th UN General Assembly. This panel will explore programs that have raised and continue to raise awareness of HPV primary prevention (vaccinations) and secondary prevention (screening) in support of attaining the WHO’s goal of 90% global vaccination for girls and providing cervical cancer screening for 70% of eligible women.
This discussion will provide an opportunity to build a sense of urgency to achieving elimination and drive decision makers to concrete action around primary and secondary prevention. The event will feature leaders from Ministries of Health, current and former government and elected officials, financing institutions, multilateral organizations, private sector, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), civil society, and industry experts and academia.
