WHO in collaboration with the UN and its partners will Walk the Talk in New York’s Central Park on Sunday, 22 September 2019, when they stage the Health for All Challenge.
This 4-mile, chip-timed, non-competitive walk/run celebration of health and well-being will be held on the eve of the United Nations General Assembly High-level Meeting on Universal Health Coverage and the Climate Action Summit.
The event has three key objectives:
The United Nations General Assembly marks the perfect moment to take up a call to action on health for all and climate change.
Starting and finishing on the 102nd Street Transverse in Central Park, the course takes you on a 4-mile loop of the crown jewel of the NYC Department of Parks & Recreation.
Bag check and toilets will be provided. Water will be available on the course, and bagels, spreads, fresh fruit and more will be available at the finish line. Registered participants will receive a t-shirt.
