Join Christians from across New York and around the world as we ask for God’s wisdom for the Presidents, Prime Ministers and global leaders coming together for the United Naitons for the United Nations General Assembly

This unique pop-event is a speical opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals who share a common passion for God, justice and mercy.

This fastmoving, inspiring event is suitable for all ages and Christians from a wide range of churches and backgrounds.

We are delighted that the award-winning Christian singer David Gungor from The Brilliance will be leading us worship and musical reflection.

Ruth Wacuka

Over the past few years, Ruth has made a major contribution to bringing a new form of trafficking in children (orphanage trafficking) to the world’s attention and in urging high-level decision-makers to take action. She brings lived experience of being trafficked into an orphanage.

Ruth is a Nairobi-based international speaker, Contributing Author, Children, and Youth Rights advocate with great expertise in field advocacy, research, and communications.

As an accomplished speaker, delivered keynote addresses in over 100 Global forums engaging Governments, Business leaders, and philanthropists, in some of the world’s biggest cities sharing the stage with renowned icons, Richard Branson, Fatou Bensouda, Mohammed Yunus, Artist Akon, British Author JK Rowling, among others on topics across, Child and Youth Participation, Orphanage Trafficking and Modern Slavery, Justice, Culture, Mental Health, and Identity.

 

David Gungor

David is a musician and songwriter known for being a part of the musical duo “The Brilliance.” The Brilliance is a contemporary Christian music group that blends various genres including pop, classical, and electronic elements to create a unique and spiritually reflective sound.

David Gungor, along with his musical partner John Arndt, formed The Brilliance in the early 2010s. The duo’s music often contains thought-provoking lyrics that explore themes of faith, hope, justice, and social awareness. Their compositions have resonated with audiences looking for music that goes beyond typical contemporary Christian music boundaries.

The Brilliance has released multiple albums and singles, gaining recognition for their emotive and spiritually rich music. Their work is often praised for its artistic depth and willingness to tackle complex issues. Some of their well-known songs include “Brother,” “Oh Earth,” and “Does Your Heart Break?”.

Rev. Eugene Cho

Rev. Eugene Cho is President/CEO of Bread for the World, a Christian advocacy organization urging U.S. decision makers to do all they can to pursue a world without hunger.

Eugene co-chairs the U.S. Nutrition CEO Council, the body of leaders from international NGOs encouraging the U.S. government, civil society, corporations, and other stakeholders to make global nutrition expertise into law and policy. He serves on the board of Interaction; on the Coordinating Committee for the Circle of Protection; and as visionary for One Day’s Wages.

Eugene has been recognized by the Department of Homeland Security as an Outstanding American by Choice. His father was born in what is now North Korea, in a village outside of Pyongyang. Eugene was born in Seoul, South Korea. When he was a child, his parents made a difficult decision to leave their homeland to come to the United States.

Prior to becoming President/CEO of Bread for the World, Eugene pastored a local church for nearly thirty years.

Nick Evans

CEO of HopeLand

Nick leads HopeLand’s mission against human trafficking. HopeLand is a dynamic organization committed to combating human trafficking through a range of impactful initiatives. Their multifaceted approach addresses various aspects of this pressing issue, encompassing prevention, intervention, advocacy, and survivor support.

Dr. Lauren Pinkston

Lauren is the President of Kindred Exchange,

Dr. Lauren Pinkston is a public academic, teaching through published writing, strategic coaching, facilitated workshops, and a newly released podcast. She holds a PhD in International Family and Community Studies from Clemson University. Previous to working in academia, Lauren lived in Southeast Asia researching the human trafficking crisis and starting businesses to employ survivors. She now consults for anti-trafficking organizations and small business startups, helping them institute trauma policies into healing-centered workplaces.

Lauren is the President of Kindred Exchange, a non-profit focused on establishing more ethical cross-cultural practices and expanding jobs in the Global South. She also sits on the board of Rain Collective as a Livelihood Specialist and the board of Freedom Business Alliance as a Research Partner. Lauren enjoys traveling with her husband and four children, cooking with loads of spices, and learning to be a good neighbor.

Dr. Krish Kandiah OBE

Director of the Sanctuary Foundation

Sanctuary is dedicated to supporting refugees and other vulnerable people. Dr Kandiah brings expertise in child welfare reform having advised the UK government for a number of years. He is a foster parent, adopted parented and passionate champion of deinstitutionalisation.
