SOLAR RADIATION MODIFICATION YOUTH WATCH LAUNCH
Solar Radiation Modification Youth Watch (SRM YW) platform promotes youth engagement in SRM governance discussions, providing access to learning resources and creative content. The event will feature a roundtable discussion where young people share their views on the science, governance and diverse stakeholder perspectives on SRM; with the objective to raise awareness, foster collaboration, and amplify youth voices in the governance of emerging climate-altering technologies. The launch event will take place during Climate Week – NYC, so if you are in town and interested in networking with like-minded people on this issue then join us in person over brunch and make your voice heard.
This is a hybrid event with three attendance options and registration for the first two options will be conducted through Zoom.
1. In-person attendance is capped at 40 people and invitations with exact address details will be issued on a first come first served basis. If you do not receive an invitation by Monday 11 September 2023, assume you have not been successful. If you receive an invitation and are no longer available to attend, please notify us ASAP so that we can allow someone else to participate.
2. Virtual attendance through Zoom registration is capped at 300 people, so register as soon as you can.
