How Cities Can Optimize Their Urban Mobility To Reach Climate Goals
Major global cities have set ambitious decarbonization targets, but these efforts may not be enough to comply with the Paris Agreement. With over 30% of cities’ emissions coming from transport, urban mobility will play a critical role in lowering CO2 emissions. The Oliver Wyman Forum developed a model-based solution to help cities achieve the 1.5C global warming target by 2030 with paths unique to each city’s mobility network. This panel session will present the research, identify available solutions, and share best practices across cities. Representatives from the private and public sectors, as well as academia, will enrich the discussion by sharing their perspective on the matter.
